About Sahaay

Sahaay exists because the answers already exist — they are just scattered across WhatsApp groups, hospital corridors, and the memories of people who worked it out the hard way.

Why this exists

After a spinal cord injury, the hardest problems are rarely the medical ones. They are the practical ones nobody prepares you for: how to shorten a two-hour bowel routine, which entrance of the hospital has a working ramp, where to buy catheters at a price you can sustain, whether a career is still possible. That knowledge exists inside the community. It has never had a home.

Who built it

One developer with a family member living with spinal cord injury, working with the community rather than researching it from outside. That is a limitation as much as a strength — which is why what you tell us shapes what gets built next.

Our commitments

  • Free for the people it is meant to help, and it will stay that way.

  • Directory and place submissions are reviewed by a person before they go live.

  • Condition details are optional, self-reported context - never a verification step.

  • The marketplace is listings and contact details only. Any transaction happens between you and the other person.
