Community guidelines
Sahaay works because people share honestly. These are the few rules that keep it that way.
Share experience, not prescriptions
Say what worked for you and what didn't. Don't tell someone to change a medication or stop a treatment — bodies and injury levels differ more than they look.
Be specific
“A cushion helped” is kind. “Gel-over-foam with a spacer mesh cover, because air cushions trap heat in summer” changes someone's month.
Be honest about access
If a ramp is too steep to manage alone, write that. An over-generous accessibility note can strand someone in a place they cannot leave.
Respect privacy
Don't post anyone's phone number, photo or medical details but your own. What people share here they shared with this community, not the internet.
No selling to patients
Vendors are welcome in the directory. Direct advertising in questions and answers is not.
Assume good faith
Many people here are newly injured, frightened, or exhausted from caring for someone. Answer them the way you wish someone had answered you.
